NEW QUAY WALKERS WALK PROGRAMME JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2012

WALK 1 - SATURDAY, JANUARY 28TH - ABERPORTH / BLAENPORTH

This is a six mile circular walk, graded as easy with no stiff climbs and with only two stiles to negotiate. The walk is mainly on farm tracks and footpaths, generally good underfoot even in winter weather, and includes a wooded section along the Poet's Walk, a tribute to the local poet Dic Jones.
Meet at the sea front car park next to the Ship Inn in Aberporth at 10am. Refreshments afterwards at the Ship.

WALK 2 - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH CROSS INN AND CAERWEDROS

A local walk, mainly on quiet lanes and a bridleway through woodland, circular and six miles long. The walk is classed as easy to moderate and there are no stiles. Starting from the Penrhiwgaled pub at Cross Inn, the route goes along to Caerwedros before changing direction, passing Synod Mill and joining a bridleway through woodland on the way back to Cross Inn.
Meet in the car park of the Penrhiwgaled pub at Cross Inn at 10am. Following the walk we will call at the pub for refreshments.

WALK 3 - SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH CARDIGAN WILDLIFE PARK AND PENYBRYN

Another walk graded as easy, this one takes us through the Cardigan Wildlife Park to Cilgerran, following which we go past the small village of Penybryn to join bridleways and footpaths across farmland leading down to the outskirts of St Dogmaels. The last section is along another bridleway leading directly back to Cardigan. The walk is approximately 5.5 miles, there are no stiles and mostly level walking. Fine countryside and Teifi Estuary views.
Meet in the parking areas in the old railway station yard in Cardigan (over the old Cardigan Bridge out of town and take first left) at 10am. Refreshments afterwards at the Eagle Inn.

PLEASE NOTE
We all walk at our own risk so please be suitably equipped (walking boots and wet gear strongly recommended during the winter months) and take good care of yourselves and fellow walkers.
